Our Vision
To provide delicious custom-baked goods that bring everyone to the table. No one is left out at Sweetheart Treats where every dessert and/or treat is customizable to suit dietary restrictions.
Mary and Warren Hinton created this family business to make life a little sweeter for the people around them. It has grown into a big, extended family business, having forged major partnerships and engaging the community around them.
Mary is the brains behind the delicious treats and likes to have fun with the customization. She thinks it is extremely important for people to connect with desserts. Something becomes your favorite because it speaks to all the things you love. So, she likes to ask a lot of questions when working with a client, and that way, she’s able to bring something to life that they’ll love. It’s like baking for your friends at that point! She may get a special request for something, and in working with a client, may come up with something new that can then be added to the menu. She also gets inspiration from friends and family. “That is one of the reasons all of my cupcakes have names.” They are created based on someone Mary has met.
“I was ready for a professional change. After working in senior-level management for someone else my entire career, I decided to bid on myself and became an entrepreneur. My mom had the vision for the cupcake business. So in 2016, I decided to go for it! It was a natural decision because who doesn’t love cupcakes? I wanted to create happiness for people, and I believe that is what I am doing. There are so many people who are unable to enjoy decadent treats because of food allergies or dietary restrictions – those are the people who appreciate what we do at Sweetheart Treats. There is something delicious for everyone!”
